Golf News Following a recent team match against SAS Denmark, the BA Club golfers returned to Mill Ride GC for their June day meeting
BA GOLFERS REVISIT MILL RIDE GC

The same day as Ascot Ladies and also the hottest day of the year so far, the course was running hard and the greens were fast. This didn't stop some of our members posting some very good scores.

The day started with a 9-hole team game which was won by Malcolm Coleman, Paul Lawrence and Lincoln Dowe with 59 Stableford points. The winner of the singles competition was once again David Lynch with 39 points (h/c 28) who now holds the Bewshea Trophy, our oldest silverware, first won in 1937. Runner up was David Skiggs with 36 points (h/c 8).

In addition, they are now half way through their monthly medal season. Each month the golfer with the highest Stableford score receives 10 points, runner up 9 points and so on. The same goes for scratch medals too. We have a handicap competition for the Cutler-Warrin trophy and a scratch competition for the ROTOL Shield, running from March until October. Currently John de Rebello leads the scratch and Bruce Miles the nett competitions. It's still all to play for.
