ROWING

We are part of BA clubs and are based at the Staines Boat Club. Membership of the rowing section is open to both BA employees and non-BA employees on an associate basis.

Facilities/Benefits

Facilities consist of a boathouse and clubhouse, which provide changing and shower rooms, and a car park.

Competitive

Inter-airline races for men and women’s crews at the Staines Regatta. Members can compete at any ARA Regatta.

Social

We run a number of social events in the year. During the summer rowing takes place throughout the week but in the winter it is mainly confined to the weekends. Rowing is available to juniors

as well as adults, and the club members compete at regattas throughout the year as they wish.

Tours

The club has a long relationship with the SAS Rowing Club based in Copenhagen. We visit SAS once a year for their summer Regatta and reciprocate by inviting them to the Staines Regatta.

Cost

Our subscriptions and Regatta fees are very competitive compared to other clubs in the West and South West London. With the option for BA Club members to join other sections or use the pay and play facilities, we offer extremely good value. Full prices and application forms available at the sports help desk.
