Classes
All classes are led by experienced, qualified instructors who provide an enjoyable and sociable environment in which to exercise. Details on class times at each centre can be found above. Classes on offer at BActive centres include:
INDOOR CYCLE - A 45-minute class in a group on stationary hi tech spinning bikes. These classes are extremely popular and provide a thorough cardiovascular workout as well as helping improve muscle tone to the legs. Booking ahead is recommended.
CIRCUITS - A 45-minute class aimed at developing both muscle tone and stamina. An excellent compliment to any exercise routine.
HATHA YOGA - Benefits mind, body and spirit. Suitable for participants of all levels.
PILATES - Improve posture and increase flexibility in this highly beneficial 45-minute class.
BOXERCISE - Highly energetic and addictive! A fun way to burn fat, tone muscles and improve fitness.
CRUNCH TIME - This is a short 15-minute abdominal routine, done one on one or in a group. The benefits include greater support and protection of internal organs, greater trunk movement control and eased breathing (particularly exhaling).
CORE TIME - Core stability is extremely important for everyone as it provides essential conditioning to help improve posture, balance and prevent/decrease lower back pain. Utilising inflatable ‘Swiss balls' this 20-30 minute class will help develop the trunk area to help improve balance and develop core stabiliser muscles.
LBT (Legs, Bums and Tums) - If you want to tone up the areas that so easily lose shape, then this is the perfect class for you! LBT is a 30-minute class of exercises that improve muscle tone in these three areas, benefiting posture and stability.
