ALTITUDE REWARD GATEWAY – TECHNICAL PROBLEMS FAQs
1. Are players of BA Sections covered for injuries sustained during matches of training?
Exclusions for Personal Accident – Club Members and Employees:
The Underwriters shall not be liable for any Bodily injury, loss or expense resulting from:“Injury sustained whilst the Insured Person is participating in any sporting activity (including winter sports other than skating and curling) or whilst skin diving involving the aid of breathing apparatus, rock climbing or mountaineering normally involving the use of ropes or guides, potholing, parachuting, hunting on horseback or diving or riding in any kind of race.” They will not pick up any incidents relating to contact between players, which is effect ‘player to player liability’, so if player A tackles player B badly, this is not covered.
2. Are players from opposing teams covered for injuries sustained during matches or tournaments?
Opposing teams are not covered for injuries caused whilst playing matched or tournaments.
3. Are other users, members and non-members, of the field and/or car park covered for injuries from being hit by a ball?
If it were seen that the BA Club are liable, the public liability section of the policy would cover the club
4. Is our kit covered for theft from the lockers? Are we covered for loss or personal belongings in our own changing rooms?
Insurers response: “So far as they are not otherwise insured, personal property of employees, directors, partners or visitors of the insured for an amount not exceeding £500 in respect of any one event of damage and £1,000 during any one period of Insurance per person provided that the Company shall not be liable for the first £100 of each and every event of damage.” Please note in respect to theft there has to be forcible or violent entry for a claim to be paid under this policy therefore changing room should be locked when not occupied.
5. If we are not covered for loss of personal belongings when we play a home fixture away that is organised by us because we want the field for another sport, what is the cost of one-day cover?
In respect to adding cover for away fixture, insurers are unable to extend the policy, as they have no insurable interest at third party locations.
