Sailors triumph in Israel. Open Day on Saturday 19th May

British Airways Sailors triumphed in Israel, winning the World Airline Sailing Championship and the European 'A.S.C.A.' Championship.
A team of six dinghy sailors from the Silver Wing Sailing Club swept the board in Eilat, Israel, on May12th/13th, defeating 6 other airlines to win the World Airline Sailing Championships and the European 'A.S.C.A.' sailing championships. The victorious team, captained by veteran David Finch, consisted of Gavin Pearce, Steve Pearce, Peter Roberts, Eric Wade, and Jim Wallace. More information, and pictures, will follow.
The Silver Wing Sailing Club, which celebrates its 50th Anniversary with a Regatta weekend and party at it's Wraysbury headquarters on June 23rd / 24th, is holding it's annual Open Day on Saturday May 19th. All are welcome to try their hand at dinghy sailing, and enjoy an afternoon at the beautiful waterside club. The Open Day starts at 12 00.
