The Silver Wing Sailing Club welcomes new members whatever their sailing experience. It is not necessary to work for British Airways; Associate Membership is open to all. The best way to find out about the club is to visit us at Wraysbury on any Sunday, or on Saturday afternoons, Tuesday and Thursday evenings in summer. The club is situated at the Silver Wing Lake, adjacent to the B376 Staines - Wraysbury road, about 1 mile west of Jn. 13 of the M25. Pass through the hamlet of Hythe End, and you will find the club entrance on your right. Sunday racing starts at 11 00; 12 30-ish is a good time to visitus, as the first race will be finished, and members will be relaxing in the clubhouse and bar. Just introduce yourself and ask for a member of the Committee; you will be made very welcome.

On Tuesday evenings in summer, the (very popular) race starts at 19 00. (18 30 at the beginning and end of the season). The race finishes at about 20 00, and members generally congregate in the bar from about 20 15. On Thursday evenings, and Saturday afternoons in summer, training and non competitive general sailing takes place, and the bar is usually open. Tuesdays and Thursdays are probably the best times for less experienced sailors to hone their skills and get to know people.
