About
Welcome to the Silver Wing Sailing Club, the Sailing Section of British Airways Clubs, London. We are an active and enthusiastic dinghy sailing club, based the beautiful 50 acre Silver Wing Lake, in Wraysbury, Berkshire. Despite its idyllic rural setting, the club is very close to Heathrow Airport, lying 1 mile west of Junction 13 of the M25, on the north side of the B376.
Our club offers keen dinghy racing on Sundays throughout the year, and on Tuesday evenings in summer. We host a busy schedule of Open Meetings, at which members of other sailing clubs sail with us, often as part of a regional aggregate series. In addition, on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons in summer, we organise training and general sailing sessions.
Our comfortable clubhouse has an attractive lounge, which overlooks the lakeside terrace and lawns, and has a bar, which we run ourselves with no professional staff.
The clubhouse is ideal for our regular social events. (The scary picture below was taken at our 2006 Halloween Party).
If you are interested in taking up sailing, please visit us when we are open. All members of BA Clubs are very welcome to pop in for a drink.
