The enclosed stadium was packed to the brim with 20,000 seated spectators, and a further 5,000 standing. The audience came to their feet cheering and clapping as the band entered the arena to "Wings" and "Scotland the Brave". The Band then gave a solo performance of complex slow airs, jigs and reels. The audience went wild, and we mean wild. The Pipes and Drums lead the music in the finale. Lead Drummer, Mick Parcell, and solo Piper Sacha Small played the introduction to the moving tune "Highland Cathedral". This was followed by the equally moving "Amazing Grace".
The band left the packed Arena to "The Cock o' the North", the audience once again erupted with much applause and appreciation.

The Leader of the Pipes and Drums, Pipe Major Iain Lochiel Raymond commented, " The Band gave excellent performances during the evening, the band members had worked very hard to get our music to a very high standard for this performance. This was a very prestigious engagement. Not only did we perform to an audience of 25,000, the whole show was televised live across France, Belgium, Holland, Italy and Luxemburg. If southern Europe had previously been unaware of the BA Pipes and drums, they will certainly be aware now. It was a fabulous achievement".
